About Trangie

Tandara Caravan Park is located in the township of Trangie on the Mitchell Highway. Trangie is a service centre, located between Narromine (35km south–east) and Nyngan (90km north-west). Trangie is a testament to traditional Western NSW, contrasting natural scenery with historic architecture and agriculture. The town houses the prominent Trangie wheat silo, which is pivotal to the regions economy. Welcoming you to the town, the Goan Waterhole parades beautiful water plants and plush natural scenery.

‘Trangie’ is an indigenous word meaning ‘quick’.

Far-reaching cotton fields surround the town. The cotton-chipping season begins in early November and runs to January, each year.
