Location
Tandara Caravan Park is located in the township of Trangie on the Mitchell Highway. Trangie is a service centre, located between Narromine (35km south–east) and Nyngan (90km north-west). Trangie is a testament to traditional Western NSW, contrasting natural scenery with historic architecture and agriculture. The town houses the prominent Trangie wheat silo, which is pivotal to the regions economy. Welcoming you to the town, the Goan Waterhole parades beautiful water plants and plush natural scenery.
‘Trangie’ is an indigenous word meaning ‘quick’.
Far-reaching cotton fields surround the town. The cotton-chipping season begins in early November and runs to January, each year.

Cotton Gin
The Auscott Cotton Gin, located approx 6 km south of the town. Open for inspection between 8.00 am and nightfall, between March and October. People intending visiting should ring first on (02) 6888 7266.
Gin Gin Weir
Gin Gin Weir, built in 1896, is located 25 km north-east on the Macquarie River. It is a pleasant and popular picnicking, boating, fishing and bushwalking spot with a sandy beach.
